I have a similar issue - I followed your instructions with WP-Bakery, than I changed the content, cleared cash and still doesn't see the changes of footer content.

I purchased this theme from themeforest.com i install the theme on gemscarat.com
when i try to change the ftc mid footer content like address, phone no. etc
but it s not changing at all, i tried a lot. but all changes not working. please suggest me what to do. please help me. please see the attachement.

First go to WPBakery-> Role Manager and enable this editor for Footer as noted below.

# then edit Footer with WPBakery to change it

Go to Appearance-> widget, select 3 sidebars "Footer Top; Footer Middle, Footer Bottom" please see what footer is using to edit it.
# footer you are using Elementor, go to Elementor-> settings enable it for FTC Footer
# and edit the footers you are using with Elementor for editing
