My developer is on
leave - I would like to update the website with latest theme. Seems my present
using theme is old.
Please Spare some
time or take some time to clarify all my below four doubts.
What are the measures or best practices I should take while upgrading the theme with the latest version - once I tried theme up gradation just by clicking on "update" - my site became disruptive. So, please let me know all step by step - what I need to take care before or after I update the theme with the latest version
Same as above but with Wordpress update - please let me know all step by step procedures- what I need to take care before or after I update the wordpress with the latest version
Same as above but with Plugins Update - please let me know all step by step - what I need to take care before or after I update a plugin with the latest version
And also please let me know, what document should I maintain, while developing a site - Is recording all changes I made on the purchased theme while I creating a website, must, for the purpose of upgrading wordpress, theme or plugins in future. I mean if I make some changes on a php file belongs to theme or plugin, the same thing should I record in a document for verification at the time of updating the theme or plugin? or simply these changes will be effected on the latest theme? I have some confusion in this point. Please spare some time and clarify.

Currently there is no automatic update feature on the theme, to install a new theme on your site follow the suggestions below
Download the latest theme in Theme forest, separate the main theme and extract it, then rename this theme folder to organico1, then compress and upload to Appearance-> Themes, you will have 2 themes. In 2 different versions, on the new theme the changes on the old theme will not be saved
# for premium plugins like Revo Slider, WPBakery and Mega Main Menu go to Plugin, deactive and delete it then reload the latest version at Appearance-> Install plugin # Please update Wp and plugins to the latest version thanks
Changes made directly to the theme will not be saved when you use the new theme # just like plugins will be lost after the update, you need to identify what has changed to back-up and update with the new version.

Until now I did not deactivate and delete WPBakery but only looked in Appearance-> Install plugin. Is the new version of WPBakery appearing there after I deleted WPBakery ?
